Taowu is one of the Four Fierce Beasts from Chinese mythology. Taowu is said to be shaped like a tiger with two feet long hair, human-like features, long boar tusks, and an eight-foot-long tail. Legend has it that Taowu was originally the extremely disobedient son of 颛顼 (zhuān xū, one of the five legendary kings who lived 2342 BC to 2245 BC). When he was alive, Taowu was known to be arrogant, talentless, and impossible to teach. After he died, his spirit turned into a very wild and fierce beast that is extremely hard to tame. Taowu lives in the western wastelands. He’s known to encourage and watch people commit evil acts and enjoys eating humans.
